With 100% acceptance from the Chief, his Captain, and the Squad's board of directors, we went straight to work and began mitigating the effects of year's of sketchy break/fix computer repair work and readied the organization's desktops and laptops for the planned Active Directory domain by replacing their problematic white-box PC's with industry-proven Dell Optiplex desktop computers equipped with Windows 7 Pro, delivering outstanding reliability and reduced maintenance costs..

Budget was a big concern during product selection for this non-profit in a small rural community in southwest Virginia but we were able to meet every constraint using value-packed hardware from Dell. The Dell PowerEdge T110 II entry-level server was the perfect platform to build this small-scale Microsoft-based network, designed to provide policy based governance of all computer assets, using Group Policy, Symantec Endpoint Protection with location awareness, and a SonicWALL UTM with Comprehensive Gateway Security Suite.

In just a few days, we delivered a budget-conscience server-based network that was centrally-managed and placed priority on securing mobile stations and providing user-based access to all computer workstations.
